High-performance circular dichroism spectropolarimeter designed for routine CD, LD, and absorbance measurements

J-1100 is ideally suited for:

  • Investigation of protein or peptide secondary and tertiary structure, including folding and conformational stability studies
  • Analysis of biomolecular interactions (DNA/RNA and protein–ligand systems)
  • Quality control and routine analysis, including optically active and pharmaceutical compounds
  • Research in organic chemistry and stereochemistry for the characterization of chiral molecules

KEY TECHNICAL FEATURES:

  • Circular Dichroism (CD) spectroscopy, with multi-signal acquisition capability (CD, LD, absorbance, etc.).
  • Spectral range: 180–600 nm, covering the UV and part of the visible region.
  • Light source: 150 W air-cooled xenon lamp, with an internal mercury lamp for calibration and validation.
  • Monochromator: Double-prism polarizing monochromator, ensuring low stray light and high optical efficiency.
  • Detector: High-sensitivity photomultiplier tube (PMT).
  • Resolution and stability: Spectral resolution down to 0.025 nm, low baseline drift, high reproducibility, and low noise.
  • Control software: Spectra Manager for data acquisition, spectral analysis, and accessory management.
  • Thermostatted cuvette holder and Peltier temperature control systems
