The project investigates TRAF2, a key regulator of signaling pathways controlling cell death, inflammation, and cancer. While TRAF2 links TNF receptors to downstream effectors, its molecular mechanisms, includingstructural dynamics, membrane interactions, and interplay with Inhibitor of Apoptosis Proteins (IAPs), remain poorly defined.
We aim to expand the structural and functional understanding of TRAF2, identify key determinants of its activity, and uncover new strategies for targeted inhibition. This work will advance our understanding of TRAF2 in disease and support the development of novel therapeutic approaches.
